When the Examiner speaks, look into the mirror

Remember the door mirror when turning right

Two hands on the wheel until stopped, then handbrake.

If in doubt - hold back – Indicator?

As soon as you stop 1st Gear and ready to go. Watch the bite !

Right at the lights ? Cross the line on green and wait at turning point if neccessary

Turn at a natural gap, filter arrow or red light.

Inside to outside roundabout ? Check left Blind Spot first.

Parallel Park

MSM

Position 1m from & slightly past vehicle. 360 Obs

Reverse until both vehicles level at rear, corner of rear passenger window 360 observation

1 Turn L, watch edge of wing mirror – no dry steering

.Mirror level with corner, 45 degrees? 360 Check ;Quick R lock ; Slow car. Cover brake,

Watch rear then look ahead

As car front swings in parallel with kerb – Straight

If necessary correct by move forward and steer left then right to straighten.

If too close then pull out and start again

Don’t touch the kerb

MSM

As you pass junction look into it. Check corner shape, parked vehicles

Choose stop point, MSM. Reverse gear immediately

Handbrake?

360 Obs.Reverse until kerb goes from back window,

360 Obs. Check position in door mirror. Adjust if necessary

1./2 turn left. Reverse slowly round bend.

Keep bend just in corner of rear window or use door mirror.

Keep space from kerb constant .Too close steer away - too far steer toward.

Half way round pause - 360 check.

Deal with any vehicles approaching.

Watch centre of rear window when lined up with edge of new kerb, straighten wheels.360 check continue for 3 car lengths, keeping parallel to the road

Bay Park (Right and Left)

MSM

Full cars width (minimum) from line of bays. 360 Check. Reverse.

Rear wheel in line with the beginning of bay next to the one you are using.

ie :Shoulder in line with No1 - reverse into No3

360 check. Full left or right lock.

Check door mirror - half way round pause 360 check.

When reversing to the left check the left door mirror to see how the car is lining up

Check mirrors and steer away from the line you are too close to.

Look over right shoulder at kerb to the rear . Footbrake, handbrake, neutral

Left Reverse (Sharp corner)

MSM - As for curved left reverse except.

Reverse until new kerb points into corner of rear passenger window. 360 check .

Check position in door mirror – back wheel should be level with end of first kerb .

Full left lock, reverse slowly around the corner.

Half way round 360 check

Then continue as for wide corner.

Turn in the Road (TIR.)

MSM - Is it safe to go? 360 Obs;

Blind Spot check; No signal

Clutch low - speed slow. Full R Lock: Approach kerb;

Cover the Brake pedal

Over the crown - Clutch down: Left lock; Brakes to stop. HB

Rev Gear: 360 Obs: Esp back window.

Is it safe to go?

Find Bite first then HB off;

Back slowly.

Halfway across 360 obs

Look over right shoulder, cover brake.

Clutch down, Steer to R Lock.. HB.1st Gear; Is it safe to go

360 Obs. Move off after double check Left side.
